Czym jest program UnlockWithWiFi ? Jest to bardzo przydatna aplikacja która działa tak, iż przy sprecyzowanym miejscu dostępu do internetu (internet wifi domowy) lub innym miejscu w którym wcześniej wpisaliśmy hasło i tym samym android pamięta ustawienia lub miejscach gdzie jest hot spot (darmowy internet) program owy, który działa w tle włącza wifi w telefonie. Jest to o tyle przydatne, że możemy sprecyzować ustawienia programów które używają danych z internetu by pobierały dane gdy jest dostęp wifi a my gdy będziemy w pobliżu naszego punktu wifi bądź hot spota będziemy mieli pobierane dane (np pogodowe, rss) bez potrzeby naszej ingerencji. W przypadku gdy opuścimy punkt w którym owy dostęp do wifi był - program automatycznie odłączy wifi w telefonie.

Możliwości informowania przez dzwięk o połączeniu wifi, sprecyzowania interwału czasowego poszukiwania sygnału wifi gdy sygnał wifi jest utracony, wibracji w celach informacji badz powiadomien na pasku androidowym.

Unlock With WiFi v2.0

Lista zmian:
- The biggest addition in 2.0 is Device Admin mode. It uses an alternative method of unlocking the device. This method preserves the slide-to-unlock screen when the phone is unlocked. Device Admin mode also makes it less likely that the screen will turn itself on when lock delay is enabled, and it prevents the volume keys from turning the screen on while the phone is unlocked. In order to unlock the device, the password is set to be blank. To lock the device, the password is set back to the original password. This only works with passwords or PINs, not with patterns. Sorry, this is a limitation in Android, not in Unlock With WiFi. There’s nothing I can do about it.
- There are now options to toggle Bluetooth and Auto Sync when you leave/return home. You might want to turn on Bluetooth when you leave home because you use a Bluetooth headset, or have a Bluetooth hands-free function in your car. Turning off Auto Sync when you leave home can save your battery and reduce your cellular data usage. If your device doesn’t have Bluetooth, the option will be automatically disabled.
- The app detects whether it’s possible to toggle your GPS, and disables the options if necessary. Your device must have a GPS chip in it, and it must have the right version of the Power Control widget. For a more detailed explanation, see this post.
- Backing up the app is no longer allowed, because it could result in your password being stored in an insecure location (i.e. your SD card).
- The Spanish and German translations are currently incomplete, due to all the new features in 2.0. I will work on finishing them as soon as possible.
- In the settings screen, there is now an item labeled “WiFi on when home?”. Pressing this link will take you to a free app on the Android Market called Auto WiFi Enabler. I figured that since there’s already a free app out there, why reinvent the wheel. Note that Auto WiFi Enabler was not created by me, Ben Hirashima, and I take no responsibility for it whatsoever. It was included in Unlock With WiFi simply because a lot of people ask if it can turn on the WiFi when you get home.

New log watcher feature that reminds you not to change your password in the normal Android settings. In device admin mode, or ICS, you must change your password in UWW. This is very important, and will help users avoid screwing something up. This is what the READ_LOGS permission is for.
